Android developer in a client team
At eMan, I worked as an Android developer in client projects for ŠKODA AUTO. I joined existing teams where I had to continue active development, keep code readable and deliver changes based on assigned requirements.
The work happened in a team and requirements were handled through Jira. The important part was understanding a larger app, cooperating with other developers and preparing changes that fit the existing product.
ŠKODA Connect and ŠKODA OneApp
I worked on the Android apps ŠKODA Connect and ŠKODA OneApp. These were automotive apps where the Android part connected to a broader product, client processes and existing technical decisions.
My work included feature development and maintenance, bug fixes, requirement implementation and preparation of changes for further review or testing.
Java, Kotlin, Jetpack, Firebase and Jira
The technical stack mainly included Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Jetpack libraries, Firebase and Jira. The work taught me how to operate inside an existing Android app, respect product context and handle changes in connection with a team.
This experience is useful for companies that need an Android developer for an active product. The important part is taking ownership of part of an existing app, working with a backlog and delivering changes without affecting the surrounding system.
